Dr. Supriya Joshi was born and raised in Mumbai, India and graduated from the University of Mumbai with a bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology in 2011. During her undergraduate studies, she gained an interest in Cancer Genetics and in 2012, she moved to the USA to pursue her Masters and later her PhD in Human Genetics, from the Massey Cancer Center at the Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU).  She spent her graduate training years trying to decipher the unique role of protein interactions in the regulation of cancer cell signaling pathways.

Wanting to expand her horizons from basic cancer research towards cancer therapeutics, she joined the Delgoffe Lab as a Postdoctoral Associate in December 2020. Her current research interests center on investigating the role of engineered immunotherapies for cancer, as well as developing strategies for overcoming metabolic barriers to robust immunotherapeutic responses.
